Cabin Fever

For the last couple days Mark has been getting over whatever he's come down with just in time for me to get sick. Although my case of this bug isn't as bad as his. Mark is diabetic and when he gets sick his blood sugar goes nuts and does all kinds of crazy things which makes him feel even worse. Luckily he's starting to feel better and his numbers are improving. I on the other hand, am starting to feel worse.

I hate being sick. I know everyone can say that but I REALLY HATE being sick. It's the most annoying thing in the world. All week at work I wait for the weekend and how I get to do whatever I want for those two days. I thought that this little bout of sickness would be like my weekend but a little crappier since I feel ... crappier. I was wrong. It is the most boring thing being sick and home alone. Yesterday I spent the entire day watching movies and trying to sleep but that didn't happen. So today I thought that I would try and be somewhat productive...

I've had a lot of projects on my mind lately that I've been wanting to tackle but no time to actually do them. Seriously, there is a ton of stuff that I want to do and only so many hours in a weekend. Today I did the smallest one on my list. I made a kind of slip cover for one of the throw pillows on our couch. I've been looking around at fabric but couldn't find any that I really loved or that I would spend money on so I turned to my closet. Out of the 30+ dresses that I own I found one that I've only worn once and probably will never wear again. I liked the fabric so I cut it up. The only thread I had was from Mark's missionary sewing kit so I had to use all kinds of crazy colours but luckily you can't even tell. I think it turned out alright considering the before.

Now I have a Husband that's feeling better and a cute new pillow. This day turned out better than I thought it would.
