Fruitful Boredom

Lately I've been in a very crafty mood. I just want to create things and make existing things beautiful. When I was younger I was really creative. I would constantly change my bedroom around and change things so they were just the way I wanted them to look. I would paint and draw and just make things original and mine. I even went so far one day as to take my closet doors off of the closet and put my bed in it so the head was in the closet and I had a cute little nook around my bed. Although I got severely scorned for removing my closet doors without my parents permission I loved that I had created a little space all by myself. For my sixteenth birthday I got 5 cans of paint and complete artistic freedom to paint whatever I wanted in my bedroom. I painted every wall in a different pattern, with no stencils and all free hand. I loved my room.  Although this craftiness and creativity has been vacant in my life lately ( I blame that on working non stop), it has returned! I have a huge list of things that I want to do and fix up and I can't wait to actually carry out all of the projects that I have in my head.

While I was sick last week I had a lot of time to do absolutely nothing but that got old very fast. So I turned to my list. A little while ago I found out how to make these really cool fabric necklaces from this blog. (There's a ton of other cute stuff that she's made. Worth the time to check it out). So I got my idea from there and then added my own ideas to them and kind of made them my own. I love love love love these necklaces and I get a lot of compliments on them and they're actually quite easy to make.

I also made this last week. I can't decide if I want to put it on a headband or add a pin the the back and make it into a broach. (I hate that word "broach", it makes me feel like such an old lady)

I can't wait to start and finish all my other ideas. I have tons and tons of them.
